Jotter

Privacy Policy

Last updated 2026-07-19. Jotter is operated by HelixMediaLabs LLC (“we”).

What we store

Jotter stores only what you explicitly save. When you save (“jot”) a note, we store its text content, a short title, optional tags, and an optional label for which assistant saved it. This is stored with our infrastructure provider, Cloudflare. We do not read your conversations or store anything you don’t direct an assistant to save. The AI assistant you use is a separate service with its own privacy policy; Jotter only receives and stores what you tell it to.

Identity

Sign-in is handled by our authentication provider (WorkOS AuthKit). We receive a stable user identifier used to scope your notes to you; every note is private to your account. We verify a token on each request and do not store passwords.

Payments

Paid plans are not yet available. When they launch, payments will be handled by our merchant of record, Polar, which processes checkout, billing, and applicable taxes; we will not receive or store your full card details, and we will store only your subscription status keyed to your user identifier.

Subprocessors

Cloudflare (hosting, content and metadata storage) · WorkOS (authentication) · Polar (payment processing, merchant of record, once paid plans launch).

Logging

We keep minimal access logs (an event type, your user identifier, a note id where relevant, and an IP address) for security and abuse prevention. We do not log note content, titles, tags, or search queries.

No model training, no selling data

We do not use your content to train AI models, and we do not sell your data. Your jots are stored only to provide the service to you, at your direction.

Retention

Jots are kept until you delete them. There is no automatic expiry. Deleting a jot permanently removes it from our storage.

Your rights

You can delete any jot at any time from any connected assistant (“delete jot <code>”), which removes it from storage. To export or delete your account and all data, email jotter@helixmedialabs.com.

Children

Jotter is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy; material changes will be shown by the “last updated” date above.
